Mac Attack

Getting through the British Spring in style is often a struggle, especially as April showers can go on for months. So it comes as a great relief to see that plastic raincoats are on the agenda for this Spring/Summer. Whether it was cropped capes at Burberry Prorsum, or shirt style at Charlotte Ronson, it seems that plastic is fantastic this season.

From top; Burberry Prorsum S/S 2013, Charlotte Ronson S/S 2013, Valentino S/S 2013, Louis Vuitton, Ginta Lapina for Antidote Magazine (the 'animal issue'), Abbey Lee Kirshaw for i-D Magazine (wearing Sonia Rykiel), Lie Sang Bong S/S 13, Jeremy Scott Fall 2011, Jean Shrimpton modelling for Lambretta scooters in the Sixties, and Rose McGowan as Amy Blue in The Doom Generation (the inspiration for this post!)

Style Icon: Jimi Hendrix

The phrase 'style icon' is not often proceeded with the name 'Jimi Hendrix', especially when looking back at the stylish ladies & gents of the 60s/70s. But Jimi Hendrix was one snappy dresser; psychedelic print shirts in a magnitude of acid - bright colours, fringed jackets, embroidered kimonos and stone-wash jeans were just a few of his staples. Accessorised with a wide brimmed fedora and a clashing silk scarf, Jimi was is one of the best (yet one the most underrated) style icons of the 20th century.
